Are Dermalogica products for my skin?
Dermalogica’s strict manufacturing process ensures that only the most
potent and pure ingredients ever get used in our formulas, ensuring
that only the best ever reaches your skin.

We Never use sensitizing Lanolin, comedogenic Mineral Oil, drying
S.D. Alcohols or artificial colors and fragrances in our products.
Dermalogica products are also never tested on animals.

How would someone know that the products are pure?
Every batch of Dermalogica products is carefully tested for absolute
purity. We use only contamination-free packaging and safety seal it
for freshness. Dermalogica avoids comedogenic and allergy-causing
ingredients and only uses food grade preservatives.

How important is a consultation before a Facial?
Vital! If a client has experienced any health problems in the past or
present their treatment should be modified, for example: If a client
comes in and they are a diabetic, I know that they have poor healing.
Therefore, I must avoid extractions and waxing services.

If a client is taking specific medications and vitamins that can have a
dramatic effect on their skin. For example: A person taking retin-a,
renova or adapalene, you must avoid all exfoliation, waxing,
extractions and heat over the areas where the medicine is applied
because the skin is likely to be fragile, and skin lifting or sensitization
may occur. High levels of caffeine can increase skin sensitivity and
blood circulation, reduce skin moisture levels and make the client
anxious during prolonged treatments.

Is doing a skin analysis important?
YES! I do something called “Face Mapping” that is a revolutionary
new approach to skin analysis developed by “The International
Dermal Institute” exclusively for Dermalogica.

This technique analyes every aspect of my clients skin, which
dramatically enhances the effectiveness of every treatment, but also
the prescription of home care regimen. Combining the latest in skin
analysis techniques with the results of “Chinese Diagnosis”, the Face
Mapping procedure provides an objective view of the skins condition,
as well as an indication of any underlying health issues that might be
affecting it.

Rather than analyzing the skin in general terms, Face Mapping divides
the face into “14" distinct zones, each with it’s own set of potential
problems and unique needs.
